Alarms we install
Most alarm companies subcontract the electrical work. We are electricians first, so the same team designs the system, runs the cable, connects the power and shows you how to use it.
Wireless alarms
AJAX systems with door contacts, motion sensors and sirens that talk to a central hub. No cable runs through finished rooms, so most of the house is untouched. Set and unset it from your phone or a keypad.
Wired and hybrid alarms
Texecom panels for larger homes, renovations and business premises, where cable can go in while the walls are open. Hybrid systems mix wired and wireless sensors on one panel.
Garages, sheds and outbuildings
Outdoor motion detection for the places tools and bikes are actually stolen from. Outbuildings can be set as their own zone, so the garage stays armed while you are in the house.
Shops, offices and units
Intruder alarms for business premises, with separate codes for staff and a log of who set and unset the system. Often fitted alongside CCTV in the same visit.
What does a burglar alarm cost?
The price depends on the number of doors and rooms you want covered, whether the system is wired or wireless, and whether outbuildings are included. A flat needs a handful of sensors. A detached house with a garage needs more.

Common questions
Should I have a wired or a wireless alarm?
Wireless suits most homes. There is no cable to run through decorated rooms, the install is quicker, and modern systems such as AJAX are reliable and encrypted. Wired suits a renovation, a new build or a larger commercial building, where the cable can go in before the walls are finished. We fit both, so you get a recommendation based on the house, not on what we happen to sell.
Can you take over or repair my existing alarm?
We install new systems and do not take over or repair alarms fitted by other companies. Older panels are often locked with an engineer code only the original installer has, and parts for them are hard to find. If your alarm is old or no longer supported, send us a photo and we will price a new system to replace it.
Will my pets set it off?
They should not. The motion sensors we fit can be set to ignore pets up to a certain size, and we position them with your animals in mind. Tell us about pets when we survey. A cat that climbs the bookshelves needs a different layout from a dog that sleeps in the kitchen.
What happens if the power or the wifi goes off?
The alarm keeps working. The systems we fit have a backup battery, so a power cut does not switch the alarm off. AJAX hubs can also use a mobile SIM as well as your broadband, so losing the wifi does not cut you off from the app.
Who gets told when the alarm goes off?
The siren sounds, and the app alerts you and anyone else you choose, such as a partner, a neighbour or a keyholder.
Will my insurer accept the alarm?
Most home insurers only ask whether you have an alarm and whether you use it. Some policies, usually for high value contents or commercial premises, ask for a system fitted by an NSI or SSAIB approved company. Check your policy wording and tell us before you book. We will tell you straight whether we are the right fit.
